Running the social media channels for a number of small businesses is incredibly satisfying, particularly when I see the growth of online communities for the brands I am working with.
I have found that the key to effective social media management is the confidence to lead and implement the client’s strategy across multiple channels.
No client is the same, making this a role that has variety every day and requires me to think on my feet and cover a number of different aspects including content creation, copywriting, and analytics.
My experience and expertise allow me to manage a wide range of responsibilities for my clients and have opened up a number of opportunities for me as a virtual assistant.
Here are a few tasks I work on regularly:
Digital strategy
By understanding my client’s target audience, I am able to assist them in creating clear goals and objectives for their digital marketing platform. My goal is to implement a strategy that grows each of my client’s networks and communities around their brand and giving the client clear results of how effective each strategy was once complete.
Content creation
I assist my clients with graphics, copywriting, and hashtags around the topics that they define for each week. This also includes adapting this content to suit each platform according to the message and where the target audience is in the digital landscape. This is where staying on top of trends is essential for everything I do and why I am always.
Analytics
Running multiple digital media platforms, it is essential to understand the insights and analytics that each one offers. There is so much information available to me, and each part can be leveraged to enhance the strategy and marketing plan that comes next.
Comments & Reviews
As the manager of a number of accounts, I am often the first to see and respond to comments and reviews about my client’s businesses. It is so important to be across the interactions with all customers to ensure they are happy, and responding to comments also boost the organic reach of posts and their page.
There are brands in so many different industries that benefit from the help of a social media manager. In my first 3 years of business, I have worked with life coaches, charities, journalists, a naturopath, a law firm, accounting firms and more. As a digital marketer, I am able to apply my skills in a number of different ways to benefit each client in the manner in which they need support the most.
