It has been three years since I started my virtual assistant journey, and it all began while working part-time. I wanted to get out of full-time work to make more time for myself and gain flexibility and freedom, and it bloomed into more opportunities than I could have imagined.
Little did I know that a few months after I began that covid would hit, and I would be working from home more regularly. We all want to forget covid, but it really revolutionised the industry as more people understand how productive staff can be working from home.
It’s truly incredible to think about where I started, relying on employers to pay me each week, working in an office or café (when I worked in hospitality), to now having the complete freedom to work when, where, and how I want with whom I want.
I have learnt so much about communication, time management, and constructive feedback, and I have had so much growth both personally and professionally in that time. I have learnt new things and enhanced skills I have been developing for 15+ years since I started working.
I have discovered new interests, left old ones behind, forged new relationships and connections and learnt to value my time in new ways.
From here I am looking forward to the next stage of my journey. Investing more time into learning more, enhancing my skills, and investing in my client’s current and future and the lifestyle that will come with it.
Thanks for being a part of my journey.
