Within each of us, is the desire to do more, be more and achieve more. Life is busy with the internet in the palm of our hands and social media notifcations buzzing us all the time. Sometimes with that easy access our time becomes in higher demand and we can lose sight of those desires to grow. By taking the time to identify your goals, and plan out your time you can stay on track.
I find I have so many concepts and ideas that I want to work on and accomplish, and I find that the way to make sure I give time to each of these things is to have a checklist. I use WRIKE to break down my tasks, I can date, label and colour code them and inside that task I can break it down even more. In amongst these tasks I program little reminders for creative moments like writing, drawing, colouring. It is through this form that I can keep myself on track for all the little things as well as the big things that I am working towards both personally and professionally.
Breaking down the tasks means you can prioritise what needs to be done and when you need to do them. You have the power to program your days and your weeks so that you dont overwhelm yourself and then burn out.
By simplifying your list out in this manner, your time becomes more valuable and more effective. I feel as I have gotten older, time passes by faster. I have found great value both creatively and in my business through writing everything down which is helping me accomplish my jobs within a reasonable time.
At the moment I think of something I want to work on, there is power in being able to instantly brainstorm and type out the details into wrike and its an easy reference to keep coming back to. You have to find what works for you, but finding somewhere to always write it down, so you don’t forget it.
Working through these tasks and goals, it’s good for your mind and body to feel the happiness of success and celebrate those moments, take a moment to have a look at how far you’ve come as the next set of tasks can be inspired and give you the motivation to keep charging forward.
An element of Wrike that I love, is ticking the box to say something is completed! The feeling of finishing a piece of a project or the final task. Its a crucial part to me, of mapping out goals and working through them, celebrating the wins which could be as small as finishing a task or as big as launching a business, or maybe it was stopping to develop a creative project, no matter what it is every step achieved means you’ve stepped closer to your dreams and goals.
